Preliminary Knowledge:
All the compulsory and restricted elective courses completed.
Objective:
To examine the students’ professional competence and their ability to evaluate their competence development process during the study period, as well as to create their own professional development plan.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
1. By the day of the examination the student shall prepare: a) A brief theoretical justification for the case (according to the case description drawn up before). • theoretical justification, which includes a brief description of the chosen method of psychological assessment and justification of their application (according to the specifics of the previously drawn case); • description of the chosen method of psychological treatment and justification of its application (according to the specifics of the case drawn earlier); • prepare a diary. b) A joint plan for psychological research and assistance (according to the case study drawn up before). 2. A written self-assessment report on the process of development of own competencies and skills during studies and a plan of further professional education. 3. Completed practice diary. 4. Provide feedback at the end of the study programme (fill in the questionnaire).
Assessment Criteria:
A. The student prepares and presents a short theoretical background (of about 3 pages) and a joint work plan (of about 3 pages) for the case. Presentation plan (PowerPoint presentation, time 10 min): • theoretical justification, which includes a brief description of the chosen assessment methods and justification of their application (according to the specifics of the previously drawn case); • description of the chosen method of psychological treatment and justification of its application (according to the specifics of the case drawn earlier); • a joint plan for the application of psychological assessment and treatment methods. B. The student demonstrates work with an individual client/ patient in one session (20 – 25 minutes, depending on the case): • after the demonstration the student receives feedback from the simulation client/ patient about the conducted session; • after receiving the feedback, the student provides self-reflection on the demonstration of his/ her session episode and answers the questions of the committee members; • at the end the student presents a self-assessment report on the process of development of competencies and skills during studies and the professional development plan. Assessment Criteria: Competence to establish contact with the client/ patient; Competence to set a goal according to the client's/ patient's needs, difficulties and resources; Competence to choose the appropriate approach for the client/ patient, methods of psychological assessment and methods of psychological treatment; Competence to provide psychological counselling and treatment; Competence to provide feedback to the client in accordance with the set goals; Competence to adhere to professional ethics and know well external and internal regulatory enactments; Competence to critically analyse and evaluate own professional activity and development; Competence to critically evaluate the opinion of a psychologist (documentation of a psychologist's professional activity). Each member of the commission evaluates the student's competencies in a 10-point system. The final mark is given by determining the average mark.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students analyse and apply theoretical and empirically justified principles of psychology to the professional activity of a psychologist. Describe the duties and rights of a psychologist. Students describe scientifically justified methods of psychological assessment (evaluation). Students name and describe scientifically justified methods of psychological counselling or psychological treatment. Describe the principles of cooperation with representatives of other professions and other psychologists in solving client/ patient problems in accordance with professional ethics and confidentiality.
Skills:Students perform professional activities under supervision in a qualitative manner: use scientifically justified methods of psychological assessment (evaluation), provide psychological counselling and provide psychological treatment to clients/ patients. Implement cooperation with representatives of other professions and other psychologists in solving client/ patient problems in accordance with professional ethics and confidentiality. Prepare a cooperation report and a psychologist's report. Perform self-reflection.
Competencies:Students perform professional activities under supervision in accordance with the professional standard and other normative documents.
