Objective

To introduce with the aims and tasks of Montessori pedagogy as an alternative pedagogy, their use in the practice of an audio speech therapist.

Prerequisites

Pedagogy, Special Pedagogy, Psychology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

• As a result of the study course the student is able to show the necessary basic and specialized knowledge and demonstrate an understanding of Montessori pedagogy as an alternative pedagogical method and understand its basic principles, is able to evaluate the possibilities of using this methodology at different ages.
• Is able to critically evaluate the need for task integration, creatively apply practical work approaches, Montessori method exercises, as well as understand the basic principles of pedagogical organization and work environment.
• When working in the rehabilitation industry, is able to demonstrate their competence, specialized knowledge in the use of Montessori methods in children with functional limitations, mental retardation and dementia patients.
• Understands the multifaceted aspects of Montessori pedagogy, the possibilities of using it in the work of an audiologist, making independent decisions and demonstrating creative solutions in the context of using the method.

Skills

• Is able to skillfully integrate the theoretical material and practical skills acquired during the Montessori course into their professional activities, respecting the needs of each person.
• Will learn to choose and use the appropriate set of exercises for each clinical case, respecting the individual's level of functioning.

Competence

Able to demonstrate the competencies required for the profession of audiologist, specialized knowledge of the Montessori pedagogical method and is able to use tasks for children and / or children with function-specific speech and language restrictions and dementia patients, therapy sessions, classes.
