How did you draw up your Learning Agreement?

By comparing the courses from Riga with the courses from Giessen.

How is the study process organized in the receiving university? What is different compared to RSU?

In Gießen it is very upon you to organize everything around the studies and it is very chaotic, maybe due to its bigger size.

In RSU everything is more organized and information is given more in time.

What were the living conditions?

At first I lived in a student accomodation, which was very run down. That was why I moved into an apartment with three other students, which was way better.

Did the Erasmus+ grant cover the living expenses?

Regarding my rent, yes, it covered my rent, but all other living expenses had to be covered by my mother.

Your advice and recommendations for others choosing this city for their mobility

JLU Gießen is very good to see how the German system in universities and hospitals works and what the differences between RSU und JLU Gießen are.

But you have to organize a lot more on your own, since everxthing is very chaotic in JLU, so keep that in mind when choosing this university.

The best memory or experience from Erasmus+ mobility

Seeing three Italian Erasmus students cooking Pasta for 12 people and being the full clichee. It was very funny.

The most valuable realization or lesson you have learned

It is important to be organized.
