About Study Course
Objective
The aim of the study course is to prepare a specialist who has knowledge and skills in the areas of management, organization and monitoring of the occupational safety and health system, in the areas of risk, analysis and forecasting of the work environment, and who would be able to identify the risks of his own workplace and those of his subordinate staff and make decisions. Tasks: promote the acquisition of knowledge about labor protection.
Prerequisites
Prior knowledge of the basics of labor law is required; Police rights.
Learning outcomes
By completing the study course, the student will gain knowledge and be able to navigate the regulation of labor protection legal relations in Latvia, the legal regulation of labor protection, will know the basics of organization and the protection of the working environment.
After completing the course, the student will be able to plan labor protection and related labor protection activities in the structural units of the State Police.
By completing the course, the student will be able to analyze and apply in practice the requirements of regulatory acts and standards in the field of labor protection; will know how to recognize the risks of the work environment.
