About Study Course
Objective
To provide knowledge and skills in ensuring public order, protection of persons, property, rights and freedoms, using methods and forms of administrative activity. Tasks: to provide knowledge about the organization, structure and competences of police work; to provide knowledge about the peculiarities, problems and legal aspects of the work organization of public order, traffic monitoring, general and individual prevention methods, permit system, operational management and other structural units of the police.
Prerequisites
It is necessary to acquire knowledge in advance by studying study courses and subjects: "First aid", "Police law", "Professional physical training", "Criminal studies", "Criminal law", "Shooting training".
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will know the competence of the State Police structure and main structural units; students will know the duties, rights and tactics of the State Police employees in certain work situations; students will be able to navigate the practical aspects of detention, use of firearms and the legal regulations of operation; students will know the internal procedures, general work organization and planning issues of the State Police; students will know the basic elements of risk analysis and action tactics in situations of increased danger.
Students will be able to correctly qualify police work situations and make a legally and tactically correct decision in their solution; will be able to apply the principles of strategic thinking, emphasizing the observance of personal safety measures; will be able to act promptly with the lowest possible degree of risk, respecting human rights and the provisions of the legal framework; will be able to navigate the sources of legal regulation and independently find a successful solution to the issue related to the service task.
After successful completion of the course, students will be able to describe, formulate and communicate practical issues and offer solutions, perform analysis of practical issues; will be able to take professional responsibility and make decisions about performing and planning complex tasks; will be able to correctly qualify the offense and independently choose an appropriate model of action in the specific situation, adequately documenting the circumstances of the event; will be able to work in a team, as well as independently make a decision in high-risk work situations; plan and organize small group work in search and arrest situations.
