About Study Course
Objective
To develop a holistic and contemporary perspective on human health issues; to gain a comprehensive understanding of the medical and social rehabilitation goals, objectives and practical use in medical and social aspect in Latvia, Europe and globally. To develop an understanding of rehabilitation services marketing organization.
Prerequisites
Anatomy, physiology, basics of physical and rehabilitation medicine, natural sciences, basics of economics.
Learning outcomes
Students will understand basic concepts in rehabilitation, will be able to name and describe rehabilitation services and understand the regulatory and economic environment for rehabilitation services.
Students will be able to describe the actual developments in rehabilitation, understand human functioning and to choose the appropriate rehabilitation services.
Students will be able to evaluate interaction of the patient's/ client's health status and functional limitations and to plan a rehabilitation process accordingly, by integrating a variety of services.
