Notification of action to be taken regarding the received threat
Today Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) received a letter that included a bomb threat (similar to the one that many schools received yesterday), but the situation is under control and work at RSU continues as usual.
RSU buildings have been searched and no suspicious objects have been found. The University Crisis Management Team has assessed the situation and concluded that there is no cause for alarm, so work and studies can continue uninterupted. We are in contact with the Latvian State Police and are under their supervision.
We ask the staff to remain calm and remain in their workplaces and the students to continue their studies.
We invite RSU employees to inspect their workplace and office. In case you see a suspicious persons or suspicious objects (bundles, bags and other things left unattended), report them immediately by calling: +371 24 855 501. Do not touch the suspicious objects.
