Three of the biggest Latvian universities – Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), the University of Latvia, and the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies – are implementing a joint intra-university Nutrition Science master's study programme and are honoured to invite you to the 4th International Conference Nutrition and Health.
The conference will take place at RSU Medical Education Technology Center in Rīga, the capital of Latvia, on 5 and 6 December 2024, and be held in hybrid format.
The conference will provide leading scientists, government representatives, as well as business leaders in food, nutrition and health with a a forum to disseminate and gather ideas and research results. International scientists will be able to participate online, while Latvian scientists will have the opportunity to participate either in person or online.

Guidelines for abstract submission

Abstracts for oral and poster presentation may be submitted through the online platform only. Please, indicate the way you want to present your paper (oral or poster). The Scientific Committee will decide on acceptance and on the way of presentation.

Only the abstracts where at least one author has paid registration fee before 8 October will be published in the Abstract book.

Abstract preparation

All abstracts must be previously unpublished, original work!

You need to provide the following information:

  • Submission title
  • Abstract body

Abstract layout

Abstracts must be submitted with the following sections:

  • Objectives
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions
  • Keywords

Abstracts should be submitted in English. Please attempt to write a concise abstract and ensure that you convey sufficient details for adequate review.
The maximum number of words is 350 (excluding the abstract title and authors). No figures or tables are allowed at the time of abstract submission.

Please list all authors (including email address (correct email addresses to be confirmed by co-authors), author’s name, title, affiliation, country and ORCID).

If the author has more than 1 affiliation, those must be separated by semicolon.

  1. Before you can submit an abstract, the system will require you to create an account. (Please note that after creating an account, you will only be able to access the Exordo system using the original email and password. Please do not use alternative emails when accessing the system.)
    • The author doing the submission will also need to sign a Terms of Service document on behalf of the submission team.
    • After creating an account, you will be able to log into the system to change your original abstract until the final date of the submission period (31 August 2024).
  2. Your abstract should be entered in the online system under the My Submissions tab on your dashboard.
  • Select New Submission for each abstract you would like to submit. The site will then walk you through the process step by step.
Please note that you will need to create an account in the Exordo conference management system before submitting your abstract.
