Objective

Students should develop professional and pedagogical knowledge, skill in teaching ice skating and hockey game techniques. To learn hockey rules. To familiarise with ice palace safety rules and hockey safety rules.

Prerequisites

Skill to lead the training technical preparation process for students of different levels of fitness and age, using the principles and considerations of modern contemporary pedagogy and other sciences.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1. To learn hockey rules, to familiarise with ice skating and hockey safety rules.
2. To learn foundations of technique in skating and technical elements in hockey.
3. To learn the skill in teaching ice skating and hockey game techniques to the appropriate age.

Skills

4. Able to demonstrate ice skating and hockey technique teaching and improvement exercises.
5. Able to plan class notes for teaching and improvement of hockey technique methods.
6. Able to use hockey rules in practice.
7. Able to practically use hockey technique methods.

Competence

8. Can realise theoretical knowledge in practice, choosing independently appropriate exercises for teaching and improvement, determining the performance dosage and appropriate methodology.
9. To implement the form and content of sports classes in accordance with the basic safety principles.
10. Able to establish growth assessment criteria and testing methods for students.
