Objective

To learn in depth about tuberculosis infection in children and adults, epidemiology, clinic, prevention, diagnostics, differential diagnosis, treatment options. To acquire knowledge about sarcoidosis - etiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis and therapy. Gain an idea of the organization of work in the hospital and outpatient.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.To know the peculiarities of tuberculosis infection in children and adults, epidemiology, clinical picture, prophylaxis, diagnostic tests, differential diagnosis, treatment options. To know sarcoidosis - etiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis and therapy.

Skills

1.To be able to differentiate tuberculosis infection, sarcoidosis, make a diagnostic plan, create a treatment plan. Interpret the reaction of Mantoux test results.

Competence

1.Use the acquired knowledge and skills to carry out highly qualified specialist functions and advise pulmonary patients with acquired and congenital lung and respiratory disease at any child’s age.
