E-book "Dental Mammoth – Foundations of Clinical Dentistry" tutorial at the Faculty of Dentistry

On 12 January 2018 the academic staff of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Dentistry and the Institute of Stomatology as well as RSU dentistry students were given a unique opportunity to meet the co-author of the e-book Dental Mammoth – Foundations of Clinical Dentistry Prof. Jukka H. Meurman and editor-in-chief Heikki Autti from Finland. During the meeting the students and academics were taught how to effectively and properly use the contents of the e-book for clinical and theoretical classes and for practical work.

In 2018 the e-book was acquired by RSU for the needs of the Faculty of Dentistry and particularly – to assist in the implementation of study courses at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Department of Oral Medicine.

The book covers all the basics of dentistry and its contents will perfectly suit practising dentists and dentistry students. The e-book contains 33 chapters covering all areas of dentistry, e.g. diagnosis, cariology, endodontology, conservative dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, orthodontology, dental practice hygiene, ergonomics etc.
