Embryology (MK_027)
About Study Course
Learning outcomes
1.On successful course completion students will be able to demonstrate understanding of embryology and significance of prenatal diagnostic methods, to describe structural features of primordia in tissue and organs at different developmental stages, to define risk periods in histo- and organogenesis, and to analyse the most often observed developmental anomalies.
1.Students will be able to detect microscopically primordia of the tissue and/or organs and approximate stage of development, to use embryological schemes and to evaluate the possible structure adequacy to the intrauterine stage.
1.Students will be able to recognise embryonic tissue and organ morphology and structure in clinical specimens. They will be able to analyse variations at different stages of embryonic development and distinguish between healthy and pathological tissues in specimens. The students will be able to estimate the significance of various inducers on the developmental processes with respect to postnatal life.
