Objective

To familiarise master students with theoretical and practical quality management systems and standards for ensuring the quality of services in the institutions of social service providers.

Prerequisites

Prior knowledge of management.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Master students understand the concept of quality management, know quality management systems and their use opportunities in the field of social services.

Skills

Master students know how to choose appropriate quality management systems to ensure the quality process of social services, assess different quality management systems – their advantages and disadvantages; able to work in a team/group; able to assess the results of own work, motivate employees; improve and criticise new ideas; • listen, watch and read with a creative attitude; • creatively structure own work.

Competence

Able to evaluate and choose to manage team/team work, analyse, systematise and integrate the information obtained; able to lead work; evaluate the control process; justify the need for quality management, use quality management methods.
