The RSU Planning and Technical Support Unit was established in 2018 to ensure the planning of simulation-based medical education and to carry out actions necessary for the implementation of the approved strategy.

  • Fostering of RSU interdepartmental cooperation and cooperation with other national and foreign universities
  • Staff professional development
  • Establishment of Medical Information Technology Centre branches in large multi-profile hospitals in Latvia
  • Development of simulation-based medical education development plan in collaboration with the Simulation-based medical education development board
  • Setting up and provision of medical technologies and a simulated environment required for the acquisition and improvement of clinical skills
  • Development and maintenance of a simulated clinical environment that is suitable for the specific requirements of medicine
