Philanthropist Boris Teterev’s Targeted Grant for Integrating International Experience
The grant was established with the support of the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation who signed a statement of intent on 30 September 2014. The aim of the grant is to facilitate the integration of international visiting professors’ experience and knowledge at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU). This would increase the university’s competitiveness and promote its pursuit of excellence.
The purpose of the target grant is to increase the number of international visiting lecturers at RSU. The grant can cover lectures, practical classes, consultations, the development of study course materials, etc. Boris Teterev’s targeted grant for the integration of international experience provides financial support to develop RSU study programmes by providing the opportunity to intensify the exchange of international experience in the study process. The implementation of the targeted grant and the application period follow the RSU academic year. Applications take place two times per academic year. Deans, and heads of departments, programmes, and courses have the opportunity to apply to bring over visiting lecturers for a semester in the following academic year. The deadline for applications is publicly announced via internal RSU communication channels. The allocated funding is to be used as an additional resource to individual departments’ annual budget to attract visiting lecturers. Visiting lecturers can be recruited for a period of one to four months. The targeted grant is EUR 1,000, which is made in a single payment.

- Application form (filled in by the host academic department and signed by the visiting lecturer upon arrival at RSU);
- Individual implementation plan;
- Applicant’s CV with a list of publications from the last three years;
- Other documents that may help the committee assess the application (at the applicant’s discretion).
