Capacity building by organising mobility scholarship activities for Rīga Stradiņš University students and academic staff
Aim
Description
Implementation of this project is directly linked with European Economic Area and Norwegian financial instrument activity research project “Innovative approach to hull-less spring cereals and triticale use from human health perspective”, implemented by Latvia University of Agriculture in cooperation with Riga Stradiņš University, State Priekuļi Field Crop Selection Institute and Institute Bioforsk in Norway. Study of the impact of cereals on health will provide the opportunity to improve methodological material for students, expanding research areas in nutrition in both countries
As Latvia and Norway are both Northern European countries with similar dietary traditions, it promotes the cooperation of both countries, as there are study programmes in nutrition science both at Riga Stradiņš University and University of Bergen
As a result of the mobility activities, academic staff gained new experience and knowledge about the study process, new and innovative research methods, which can be used to improve the RSU study programme and research
Activities of the project
- Two Riga Stradiņš University academic staff mobility visits to University of Bergen are planned within the framework of the Project
