The goal of the RSU Institute of Public Health is to create science-based evidence for public health policy and practice.

Tasks

  • to engage in setting priorities for public health and policy priorities;
  • to establish a base of evidence on health determinants;
  • to provide evidence on the best solutions for disease prevention and health promotion;
  • to implement health and scientific communication interventions for professionals and the public;
  • to attract resources for the development and strengthening of public health research;
  • to provide advisory support on psychometrics (instrument adaptation, validation and construction).

Services

  • the development and implementation of educational programmes;
  • the development of research methodology;
  • to analyse quantitative and qualitative research data;
  • to commission research fieldwork in the fields of public health and psychology;
  • the development of evidence-based recommendations for the state and municipal government strategies and evaluation of the implemented policies;
  • the adaptation, validation and construction of instruments (tests, surveys, scales, etc.);
  • to provide advisory support for the adaptation, validation and construction of instruments;
  • psychological research (assessment).

  • children's and adolescents' health;
  • ageing and well-being of the population;
  • reducing the burden of infections;
