About Study Course
Objective
To provide knowledge and develop understanding of the human body, the structure and topography of human organs, interconnectedness of systems, and the physiological processes of the body.
Prerequisites
Biology at the level of the secondary school programme.
Learning outcomes
As a result of completing the study course, students are able to do the following:
• name the tissues, organs and systems of the human body;
• describe the structure thereof;
• illustrate the location and describe the functions, blood supply and innervation;
• name some anatomical terms in Latin.
As a result of completing the study course, students will recognise and be able to do the following:
• identify skeletal bones, joints;
• locate, classify muscles, organs, blood vessels and nerves and other anatomical structures on the visual aids presented in anatomy studies;
• able to work with special literature.
As a result of completing the study course, students are able to do the following:
• skilfully demonstrate various anatomical structures in visual aids;
• describe anatomical structures, their interrelationships and functionality.
