Objective

To enable students to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge of tourism. To familiarise students with theoretical and methodological aspects of tourism didactics.

Prerequisites

The required knowledge and skill levels are in line with the general secondary education standard in sport, as well as first aid, theory of sports and general pedagogy have been learned.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.1. Will know the types of tourism hikes, their fitness for a particular contingent, the resources available. Will know at least 3 digital technologies that can be used in the planning or process of a hike.
2. Will know how to provide food in tourism activities (hiking, camping).
3. Will know various tourism techniques, knots.
4. Will know various tourism competitions.
5. Will know various techniques for tourism equipment, their teaching didactics and methodology.

Skills

1.6. Will be able to plan a hike according to the hike purpose, contingent and resources.
7. Will be able to plan, set up, overcome and remove various tourism techniques on a terrain.
8. Will be able to prepare, as well as practically perform a tourism hike (walking, water tourism or bicycle tourism).
9. Will be able to set up, overcome and judge tourism competitions.

Competence

1.10. The student will be able to analyse the planned and realised hike (including use digital technologies). To analyse changes in the route of the realised hike, if any. Will be able to analyse the purpose achieved by the hike for the selected hiking contingent.
11. The student will be able to apply the mastered theoretical and practical knowledge in a tourism camp (to plan and purchase the necessary individual and group tools, set up a camp site, plan and cook food, adapt to the weather).
