Objective

The students should acquire knowledge of the anatomical structures (organs, blood vessels, nerves) topography, external and internal landmarks, disease mechanisms and development of complications in clinical aspect.

Prerequisites

the compulsory course “Human Anatomy, including Dissection Course”.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

after completion of the course the students will know and will be able to describe the human body organs, blood vessels, nerve location areas (places) in relation to the skeleton (bones) and in relation to the surrounding organs; their external projection on the human body, functions of the blood vessels, nerve blocks, functions of the cavities of the coverings of the brain and points (places) in anaesthesia.

Skills

the students will be able to find and show the organs, blood vessels, nerves on the human cadaver, their projection on the human external surface of the body; they will be able to find and demonstrate functions of the blood vessels, nerve blocks, points in anaesthesia; the students will be able to apply the knowledge of topographic anatomy in the clinic, they will be able to work with professional literature.

Competence

the students will know, identify and describe different anatomical structures of the human body relative to systems and topography.
