Biochemistry I (CFUBK_002)
About Study Course
Objective
To promote the acquisition of knowledge of the metabolic processes in the human body, the role of enzymes and bioenergetics of the living cell.
Prerequisites
Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Normal Physiology RSU MF II course level.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course the student will be able to:
- describe the activity of enzymes and their regulation possibilities, their role in diagnostics;
- define the main principles of bioenergy and metabolism, their regulation possibilities.
Having mastered the study course, the student will apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice: Will be able to explain the processes in the body:
- Dependence of enzyme activity on various conditions;
- Metabolism in the body;
- Bioenergetic basis of living cells.
The student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge of chemical processes in the body; their integration and regulation, the effect of drugs on metabolism.
