Objective

The aim of this course is to provide an overview of innovative conceptual approaches to healthcare organization in the context of meeting healthcare goals and challenges. This course is focused on the theoretical acquisition of knowledge and its practical application, as well as the development of an understanding of the possibilities, preconditions and determining factors for the implementation of innovative health system management solutions

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Upon successful completion of the module´s course the students will:
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of the principles, concepts and areas of innovative healthcare organization
• Will be familiar with specific innovative approaches to healthcare: patient-centered healthcare integrated healthcare, chronic disease management and personalized healthcare
• Understand the basic conditions and prerequisites for implementing innovative organizational approaches
• Recognize the importance of innovative solutions in the implementation of citizens' values and needs
• Knows the implementation of innovative solutions in the context of change management approach

Skills

The students will be able to:
• Understand and be able to evaluate the usefulness and applicability of innovative approaches;
• Analyze the benefits and challenges of different innovative approaches to care organization
• Identify appropriate tools for implementing new concepts
• Identify the appropriate organizational conditions and preconditions for the implementation of new concepts
• Recognize health management issues and justify innovative solutions to problems
• Apply a change management approach to the implementation of innovative organizational approaches
• Analyze and evaluate the experience of other countries in implementing innovative solutions and adopting best practices

Competence

Students will be able to:
• Assess the potential of innovative healthcare organization approaches in the context of healthcare efficiency
• Identify and address health issues through innovative management and organizational solutions
• Select appropriate innovative solutions to improve healthcare performance
• To improve the compliance of the health care organization with the implementation of the values of individuals and society
• Increase the efficiency of health services in the context of both global and local challenges
