Objective

The aim of this course is to provide an overview of innovative conceptual approaches to healthcare organization in the context of meeting healthcare goals and challenges. This course is focused on the theoretical acquisition of knowledge and its practical application, as well as the development of an understanding of the possibilities, preconditions and determining factors for the implementation of innovative health system management solutions

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge in a healthcare organization

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Upon successful completion of the study course, students will acquire knowledge in the following areas:
• Basic knowledge of healthcare management and organization principles
• Will be familiar with specific innovative health care approaches: integrated health care, chronic disease management, patient-centered health care, and value-based health care
• Knows the basic conditions and prerequisites for the implementation of innovative organizational approaches

Skills

Students will acquire the skills to:
• Understand and be able to evaluate the usefulness and applicability of innovative health care organization approaches;
• Analyze the benefits and challenges of different innovative care organization approaches
• Identify the appropriate organizational conditions, tools and prerequisites for the implementation of new concepts
• Recognize the problems of health management and justify the possibilities of innovative solutions in solving the problems
• Analyze and evaluate the experience of other countries in implementing innovative solutions and adopting best practices

Competence

Students will be able to:
• Identify and address health issues through innovative management and organizational solutions
• Select appropriate innovative solutions to improve healthcare performance
• To improve the compliance of the health care organization with the implementation of the values of individuals and society
• Increase the efficiency of health services in the context of both global and local challenges
