Objective

Acquaint students with the nature of the conflictology, problems and regularities, research methods; develop understanding of alternative dispute resolution methods.
Tasks:
1. Acquaint students with the nature of the conflictology, problems and regularities and research methods;
2. Develop the ability to spot and understand conflict situations, human behaviour in such situations and use this knowledge in professional activity;
3. Familiarise with various conflict resolution strategies and learn to use them in professional activity.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students know the normative acts and basic literature; they are aware of the importance of conflict resolution and opportunities for mediation in law.

Skills

Students are able to identify and critically analyse the conflict, offer a solution by finding the necessary regulation and justifying their point of view.

Competence

Students will be able to apply their knowledge to resolve a practical case using conflict-solving principles and approaches.
