Objective
To acquire the basic knowledge of environmental and occupational health, and practical skills on how to apply the knowledge in health maintenance and disease prevention.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in chemistry, physics, biology and physiology.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
Understand and explain:
- the impact of environmental factors on human health and the potential for reducing pollution;
- the impact of work environment risk factors on human health and the possibilities to reduce them.
Skills
Recognize:
- the most common environmental factors that can cause environmental diseases;
- work environment risk factors that may affect the health of employees and patients.
Competence
Participate in measures to reduce the impact of natural and work environment factors in their workplaces.
