Objective

To acquire the necessary competences for the professional inclusion of environmental health science and practice matters in the implementation of the field of health and physical activity in basic and secondary school.

Prerequisites

Study courses mastered: Educational Psychology for Teachers, Teacher’s Professional Skills, Social-Emotional Learning, Legal Aspects of Pedagogical Process, Teaching and Learning in the Context of Diversity, General and Physical Activity Biochemistry, Human Anatomy and Dynamic Anatomy, Foundations and Methodology of Volleyball, Foundations and Methodology of Basketball, Foundations and Methodology of Football, Foundations and Methodology of Track and Field Exercises, Foundations and Methodology of Swimming, Foundations and Methodology of Gymnastics, Civil Protection, State Security and Environmental Protection for Sustainable Development, Theory of Sport, Innovative Information Communication Technologies and Methods in Sport Pedagogy, Biomechanics and Ergonomics, General and Age-Specific Physiology, Health Promoting Physical Activities, Rhythmics and Rhythmic Combinations, History of Sport, Philosophy of Sport, Sport in Multicultural Environment and Olympic Education, Sports Medicine, Professional Communication and Terminology I (English, German, Russian), Project Development, Teacher’s Placement I, II.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1. Impact of physical, chemical, biological, social and psycho-emotional factors of the environment on health.
2. Risk factors in the environment, knows their negative impact and prevention possibilities.

Skills

3. Creates an intellectually stimulating, emotionally and physically secure study environment in line with hygiene and occupational safety regulations
4. Explores health risk factors in the work and study environment of pupils and teachers, develops proposals for improvement.
5. Integrates the content of different subjects into the study of environmental factors affecting health.

Competence

6. Assesses the factors affecting the working environment, takes appropriate action, eliminates risks in the working environments of teachers and pupils.
7. Evaluates and cares for own health.
