Objective

To promote students’ understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of EU business law by providing theoretical knowledge and practical skills on EU commercial law, with a particular focus on the freedom of foundations within the EU to enable students to orient themselves in the EU business law.

Prerequisites

Basics of EU Law.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

During the course, students will acquire knowledge on EU company law, regulatory framework of the single market, current EU Court of Justice case law related to EU business law. Upon successful completion of the course, students will identify the legal provisions governing the EU single market and EU legal practice.

Skills

Students will gain an understanding of the current regulatory framework and EU case law in EU company law, will reasonably discuss current issues in the EU single market regulation, and will make informed decisions in compliance with international legal provisions.

Competence

Based on the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, students will be able to independently formulate and critically analyse practical problematic situations related to EU company law.
