Objective

To acquaint students with life-critical conditions and to provide first aid according to the algorithm.

Prerequisites

Anatomy, physiology, internal diseases.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Upon completion of the study course, the student is able to name the conditions in which CRC is relevant, to list their symptoms. Able to explain the causes of the terminal condition and name the signs, recognize the signs of biological death. Knows the principles and guidelines for the development of international CRR guidelines. The basic elements of resuscitation measures, the sequence of steps and possible complications can be mentioned. The indications and sequence for the use of stable lateral sleeping can be explained.

Skills

As a result of mastering the study course, the student is able to recognize the situations in which KPR is relevant and to choose appropriate tactics. Is able to apply the basic resuscitation algorithm, evaluate its efficiency and complexity. Can use stable side sleep.

Competence

As a result of mastering the study course, the student is able to recognize the situations in which KPR is relevant and to provide first aid in accordance with the algorithm and the specified guidelines.
