About Study Course
Objective
The aim of the course is to acquire French language skills for social interaction in compliance with “Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning, Teaching and Assessment”, language proficiency level A1.
Prerequisites
Without preliminary knowledge of the French language.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the study course, students will be able to:
• know and use minimum vocabulary in French in everyday situations;
• know the word order in narrative sentences and questions;
• differentiate between present, past and future activities;
• recognise the most often used language structures in French.
On completion of the study course, students will be able to:
• find the needed information in the text and use the most often used phrases to start and maintain a conversation and to exchange information;
• understand simple texts about everyday topics, letters, invitations, dialogues, announcements at the airport or at the station, weather forecasts, etc.;
• provide short information about themselves, their relatives, living conditions and studies;
• write an informal letter;
• use the acquired language structures in everyday communication.
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to use lexical expressions and language structures they have learned in everyday communication.
