Objective

Gain overview of main tissue groups forming different organ systems and their morphofunctional characteristics.

Prerequisites

Previously acquired knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Student gains knowledge on essential facts of tissue development, functional morphology of basic tissue groups and systems, explains and justifies principles of regulation of tissue functions, aging and adaptation reactions.

Skills

On successful course completion student is able to analyse basic tissue groups and organism systems, their functional morphology, human development basis.

Competence

Student determines slide quality, tissue and tissue structure relationship and proportions, interprets histology slides.
