Objective

Acquaint students with phenomena and processes that endanger human security. During the course, special attention will be paid to the problems of identifying various threats to human security, promoting acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, exploring anti-social processes and phenomena in Latvia and abroad.

Prerequisites

Law Enforcement Agencies, Human Rights.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Acquired theoretical knowledge of threats to human security, their types and prevention measures.

Skills

Acquired skills to detect threats to human security and risk factors; to identify methods, means and techniques for ensuring security.

Competence

Scientific and practical motivation has been strengthened in order to identify the risk factors of human security threats and the skills have been developed to ensure security.
