Objective

To create students’ understanding of the law that regulates international business processes and to promote the use of the acquired knowledge in practical business and international business.

Prerequisites

To complete the course, students need prior knowledge of the basics of law.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Upon successful completion of the study course, students will gain knowledge about the essential components of international agreements, legal risks related to international agreements, applicable legal norms for resolving international business disputes, the most appropriate methods for resolving international disputes, current international intellectual property law and international investment law.

Skills

Upon successful completion of the study course, students acquire skills to analyse and evaluate the legal problems of international business that are related to the legal risks of international transactions: applicable legal norms, dispute resolution in international transactions. Students learn to evaluate the types of international commercial agreements and their effective use in international business.

Competence

Upon completion of the study course, students will be competent to use theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the analysis of various situations in international business.
