About Study Course
Objective
Promote the acquisition of knowledge about the massage effects on human body. Develop practical skills of palpation (the patient's soft tissue status for evaluation purposes) and massage techniques.
Prerequisites
Anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to describe and explain the physiological effects of massage, usage on functional disorders correction; will be able to explain the different massage techniques indications, contraindications and application characteristics.
Students will be able to use palpation to assess the patient's soft tissue status; will be able to choose and use the massage techniques according to patient's functional condition and treatment goals.
On successful acquisition of the study course students will be able to practically apply the acquired knowledge and skills to achieve the goal of massage.
