About Study Course
Objective
Develop communicative skills in the English language for successful studies and work in the chosen speciality; promote acquisition of professional terminology and its practical application.
Prerequisites
Knowledge and skills of the English language according to the requirements of the upper-secondary school programme (levels B1 – C1).
Learning outcomes
After having completed the course successfully, the students will:
• recognise professional terminology in various texts;
• name the most common terms in massage;
• describe different conditions related to the sphere of massage using professional terms in English.
After having completed the course successfully, the students will be able to:
• choose and use terms for oral communication (presentations, discussions) and in writing (doctor's notes, referrals, medical articles) in the sphere of massage;
• use appropriate means of expression to explain one's opinion both in oral and written communication;
• deliver summary both in written and spoken form using appropriate terms, give the main idea of the text
• find necessary information in different sources.
After having completed the course successfully, the students will be able to apply the terms they have studied in various communicative situations.
