About Study Course
Objective
Theoretical and practical learning of enhanced diagnostics and treatment of ENT diseases, based on research proved basis. Acquire differential diagnose skills based on the interpretation of different ENT symptoms.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of otorhinolaryngology, pharmacology, immunology, radiology, anatomy, physiology, morphology, pathology, oncology and surgery.
Learning outcomes
Students acquire in-depth knowledge of otorhinolaryngology, differential diagnosis of different ENT symptoms and syndromes; they comprehend the relation between systemic diseases and their manifestations in upper airways, hearing and balance system.
Students perform thorough examination of the patient with otorhinolaryngology symptoms, interpret the symptoms and describe the role of those symptoms in diagnosis of the disease. They draw up a treatment plan. Students are able to decide on the surgical and/or conservative treatment.
Recognise different symptoms and evaluate their role in establishing diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Assess the manifestation of systemic diseases in the upper airways, hearing and balance systems. Develop and implement the examination and treatment plan for patients with different ENT diseases.
