Objective

To deepen the students' knowledge about the basic issues of pedagogy in the context of social work, to improve the acquired skills in personal growth and professional environment with clients in specific target groups – teenagers, families, etc. To promote students' readiness to engage in solving social problems with correctly selected appropriate pedagogical methods, while being aware of the potential risks for the future society.

Prerequisites

Introduction to studies, introduction to psychology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Describe the categories of pedagogy, their historical development and future perspectives in the context of social work.

Skills

1.Targeted selection, critical evaluation, analysis and structuring of different sources of information, meaningful use of IT for professional purposes.

Competence

1.Presents a reasoned analysis of a popular scientific Article related to social work, defenders its views and critically evaluates the support provided by technologies (including AI) in the process of developing the analysis.
