About Study Course
Objective
Promote the acquisition of knowledge about the detoxification processes taking place in human body; importance of biochemical indicators used in diagnostics.
Prerequisites
Medical biochemistry and normal physiology of FF 2nd and 3rd course level.
Learning outcomes
After successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
• tell about the role of cytochrome P450 in metabolism, principle of operation;
• define conjugated molecule formation and the role of in metabolism;
• describe the main detoxification processes in the body;
• interpret diagnostic biochemical parameters.
Will be able to explain:
• Xenobiotics development chances in the body;
• Cytochrome P 450 operating principles;
• Conjugated molecule formation processes and the role of in detoxification.
Will be able to evaluate detoxification process and differences in various organs.
Will be able to evaluate the diagnostic significance of biochemical indicators.
