Objective

To provide students with an opportunity to acquire knowledge about the theoretical concepts of psychometrics, types of psychological tools, standard requirements for the development and adaptation of psychological tools, specifics and conditions of using thereof. To provide students with an opportunity to acquire knowledge of the classical test theory.

Prerequisites

General Psychology, mathematical statistics, fundamentals of scientific research, research data processing and analysis.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Defines and explains the types of psychological tools; explains the principles of test quality assessment, basic principles of test design and adaptation.

Skills

Discusses the types of psychological tools, construction and adaptation of tests with arguments; critically evaluates the quality of tests based on their psychometric indicators; is able to independently analyse test articles (statement/question), test reliability and validity.

Competence

Independently performs test design and adaptation.
