About Study Course
Objective
Develop a qualification paper within the study course on current topics in the field of oral health, using the latest scientific literature.
Prerequisites
Successfully passed the course Research paper in dentistry. To be able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the study course, to use scientific material, the latest and most relevant scientific literature on the chosen topic. Prerequisites in Public Health Dentistry. Prerequisites knowledge in epidemiology, knowledge in Information Literacy.
Learning outcomes
1. Student will know training forms and ethical aspects of scientific projects.
2. Student will know how to define hypothesis of research and how to choose suitable design of research.
3. Student will know different possibilities of obtaining data.
4. Student will know objective evaluation and interpretation of research results.
5. Student will know how to use different indexes, epidemiological examination cards (by WHO) for patients as well as different questionnaires related to oral health and life’s quality research in clinical dentistry environment. The usage of social-dental index.
6. All the above knowledge will give the student the opportunity to write a qualification paper according to the chosen topic.
The student will be able to write a qualification paper according to the chosen topic and requirements, using the appropriate scientific literature compiling it. Will be able to do research that will be reflected in the work.
Ability to make a practical compilation of scientific literature, developing a qualification paper.
