Objective

To enable students to learn qualitative research methodology in the sports science.

Prerequisites

Research Methodology I, Theory of Sport; General Pedagogy.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1. Latest research in sports pedagogy and in the field of sports science.
2. Understanding the approaches and principles of qualitative research in sports science, methods of qualitative research and procedures for collecting and analysing qualitative data.

Skills

3. To select the scheme (design) of the qualitative study appropriate for solving the problem to be investigated, formulate the scientific categories of the study.
4. To discuss in a reasoned manner the choice of sampling methods for the selected qualitative study and the content of the data collection methods.
5. To collect data for education research.

Competence

6. Able to independently process, analyse and evaluate the qualitative data obtained during the qualitative study in the field of sports and health education, choosing appropriate methods of data processing and interpretation, drawing conclusions and assessing their reliability, able to demonstrate a scientific approach to problem solving.
