About Study Course
Objective
To develop and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during theoretical courses and practical classes, to use them in practical work in the placement institution’s system.
Prerequisites
Knowledge in clinical social work with patients/clients with infectious diseases; knowledge in social work with persons with addiction problems; knowledge in psychiatry and narcology, and social psychology. The study course “Clinical Social Work with Patients/Clients with Infectious Diseases with Specific Medical Problems”.
Learning outcomes
• Understands social work in the clinical environment;
• defines functions of social work professionals with different target groups of clients/patients, including people with addiction problems and infectious diseases;
• understands the establishment of cooperation with specific target groups and other institutions providing social services and social assistance.
• To establish a conversation;
• to document the information obtained;
• to observe and evaluate the social services and assistance process;
• to demonstrate awareness of professional ethics and values;
• to identify the problem;
• to set the purpose of intervention, to plan the intervention process;
