Objective

Acquire knowledge about speech sound disorders: cause and symptoms (Articulation disorders; Phonological disorders; Dysarthria, Apraxia). Assessment of Speech or Sound Production. Treatment of speech sound disorders.

Prerequisites

Pedagogy; Basic Principles of Didactics of Pedagogy in the Work of an Audiologist; Assessment and Classification of Functional Capacity Limit.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

• describe articulation and phonological disorders;
• recommend articulation and phonological disorders treatment ;
• describe speech sound disorders in children and adults;
• know speech sound disorders etiology, clinical symptoms;
• report speech sound disorders treatment and therapy.

Skills

• examine articulation and phonological skill;
• analyse sound errors and phonological processes;
• develop a treatment plan of Speech Sound Disorders.

Competence

• will be able to use the knowledge and practical skills in the assessment, analysis. Develop a treatment plan of Speech Sound Disorders. Treatment for Speech Sound Disorders.
