Objective

To build and strengthen an in-depth understanding of the legal conditions and tactical aspects of the use of force and firearms.

Tasks:
1. To study and be able to apply the regulatory enactments regulating the use of force and firearms.
2. To learn the safety rules for handling firearms.
3. To develop the skills of using various methods of force.
4. To evaluate the need to use force or firearms in different situations.

Prerequisites

Subjects “Use of Firearms” and “Police Rights” have been studied.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students know the history and classification of firearms; students can describe the development of firearms and future prospects in the police work; students understand the laws and regulations governing the circulation of weapons and special means; students know the safety requirements for handling weapons.

Skills

Students know how to use weapons and their ammunition; the ability to analyse conflict situations, generalise and make the right decisions; skills in shooting tactics; the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practice; ability to shoot precisely.

Competence

Ability to take a decision in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law; ability to independently choose a strategy of action in case of conflict situations.
