Patron Boris Teterev’s Scholarships in Medicine

Patron Boris Teterev graduated from Rīga Stradiņš University (at that time - Riga Medical Institute) in 1980. In 2010, he and his spouse founded the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation with an aim to support excellence and community-based charity initiatives.  After meeting with the representatives of Rīga Stradiņš University and Rīga Stradiņš University Alumni Association Boris Teterev expressed his wish to establish a scholarship fund for undergraduate students of the Rīga Stradiņš University Faculty of Medicine, thus enabling talented young people to ease the financial burden during their studies, which is often an obstacle to gaining a competitive medical education.

The purpose of patron Boris Teterev’s scholarship is to support the most talented future professionals. Those citizens and residents of the Republic of Latvia who are 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students of RSU Faculty of Medicine may be eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship consists of 375.00 euros a month for ten months of studies and a laptop for use during the period of receipt of the scholarship.  If the scholarship holder gets good grades and complies with other requirements set out in the scholarship regulations and in the contract, the scholarship may be awarded until completion of the undergraduate studies.
