Assessment
Unaided Work:
Students elaborate individual strategies, and discuss them with peers. They are encouraged to discuss with their scientific supervisor. Finalised summaries are assessed by course instructor. Predatory journal analysis is a homework, using information sources, and is assessed by instructor. Language use – collective work in small groups, mutual learning. The student's contribution to the improvement of the study process is the provision of meaningful feedback on the study course by filling out its evaluation questionnaire.
Assessment Criteria:
Active participation in class lectures – 25% Individual strategy for journal selection based on: search competence in SCOPUS Sources and Clarivate JCR, content analysis for coherent themes in published articles, scope, impact measures, cost and economic aspects, Open Access principles, pre-registration – 50%. Journal detective – recognising predatory publishing – 15%. Scientific language assessment test – 10%.
Final Examination (Full-Time):Test
Final Examination (Part-Time):Test
Learning Outcomes
