Preliminary Knowledge: | Completed study programme Participation in Projects on the Topic of the Doctoral Thesis of the doctoral study programme. | ||||||||
Objective: | To participate in a scientific group and/or consortium, develop the communication skills and abilities needed to produce scientific results in a given project. To be able to communicate with the wider scientific community on the topic of one’s scientific work, and to improve one’s scientific qualifications. To communicate effectively with the public, contributing to the creation of a Knowledge Society. | ||||||||
Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | The student participates in a scientific project on the topic of the doctoral thesis, develops scientific skills and abilities necessary to achieve the objectives. Participates in the communication of scientific results to the scientific community. The student's contribution to the improvement of the study process is the provision of meaningful feedback on the study course by filling out its evaluation questionnaire. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | The student can documentally confirm: participation in national and/or international research projects, international scientist exchange programmes or visiting doctor status relevant to the topic of the doctoral thesis. 1 month’s work on an international project is awarded 1 CP, 1 month’s work on a national research programme is awarded 0.5 CP. The total amount of work carried out cannot be less than 2 CP. The minimum number of CP a doctoral student may obtain in one semester is 2 CP, which corresponds to 80 academic hours of completed work (1 CP = 40 academic hours). A maximum of 4 CP can be obtained per semester, awarded for work of at least 160 academic hours. A maximum of 8 CP can be obtained throughout the study period, which corresponds to completed work of at least 320 academic hours. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | At the end of the project, demonstrates knowledge of planning the work of a scientific team, describing the framework of scientific knowledge, and critically extracting scientific information. | ||||||||
Skills: | Applies research methods, systematises and explains results according to the objectives of the research project. Finds, processes and analyses scientific information. Writes theses on results obtained, presents data effectively to the scientific community. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Improves one’s scientific activity, substantiates research results, masters research methods, puts forward scientific ideas. | ||||||||
