Unaided Work: | To study materials of lectures and classes appended to the study course, as well as recommended literary sources, when preparing for classes. To prepare a work assignment corresponding to the planning of classes. The knowledge obtained during the course is tested using a multiple-choice test, which students complete in the E-studies environment after they master lectures. Skills are learned and assessed by performing independent work tasks in the E-studies environment, in the auditorium. Students do the following independent work: • Draft a presentation based on latest literature and latest developments in the sector “Prospects and novelties of healthcare in nursing practices”. • Search for information sources (publications) in databases and electronic resources, in parallel evaluating that resources meet the criteria. • Develop scientifically justified, evidence-based “Pro” and “Con” arguments in problem matters related to the sector on a specific topic. • Solving of clinical situation tasks. • Creation and presentation of an informative material on a selected, relevant topic. • Creation of a mind map for the selection of the problem aspect and formulation of the research topic. During the final test the student prepares a Course Paper in Word and presents it in PowerPoint – a written, analytical literary overview on publicly important topics relevant for the profession, describing argumented topicality of the topic, formulating the research objective and forming an overview of scientific literature with a section of correct conclusions based on results. The course paper should be prepared in accordance with the requirements on preparation of research papers. Independent work tasks, multiple-choice test for testing theoretical knowledge, the course paper are organised in accordance with the instructions in the E-studies. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Participation of students in classes and compliance with the methodology of performed works, as well as skills to explain the results obtained in literary analysis and to make conclusions in accordance with the reviewed and analysed results are evaluated. The work tasks performed are assessed as follows: • Completion of a multiple-choice test is evaluated automatically in the E-study environment in accordance with the RSU Academic Regulations I, where the lowest passed assessment is 55% (4 points). • Independent learning tasks are assessed with Pass / Fail, in accordance with the RSU Academic Regulations I. • The course paper is assessed in a 10 grade system in accordance with the RSU Academic Regulations I, where the lower successful assessment is 4 points.
