Preliminary Knowledge: | Knowledge of anatomy, sports physiology, sports biochemistry, biomechanics, general pedagogy, general developmental and communication psychology, sports terminology, basic sports training theory, basic nutrition. | ||||||||
Objective: | Training highly qualified sports professionals (fitness trainers) and the ability to organise and run group classes at a professional level in the field of sport and health. Ability to apply various fitness methods, tools and create awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle for the body. | ||||||||

Assessment Criteria: | Knowledge, skills and competences on task performance, productive group work, learning discussions, attitudes, individual development dynamics. Upon fulfilment of the above conditions, the student will sit the practical examination and receive a grade. | ||||||||

Knowledge: | 1. Acquire theoretical knowledge about the structure, content, organisation and delivery of a lesson. 2. Knowledge of the basic principles of lesson design. 3. Knowledge of the different methods and tools for conducting group activities. | ||||||||
Skills: | 1. Acquire practical skills in organising and conducting a lesson. 2. Be able to create and apply basic aerobic steps and combinations of basic steps in a group class. 3. Be able to create a complex of strength exercises in a group class using different forms of organisation, methods and means. 4. Develop an understanding of the harmonious development of the body and the importance of health promotion. | ||||||||
