Objective: | The aim of this course is to provide an overview of innovative conceptual approaches to healthcare organization in the context of meeting healthcare goals and challenges. This course is focused on the theoretical acquisition of knowledge and its practical application, as well as the development of an understanding of the possibilities, preconditions and determining factors for the implementation of innovative health system management solutions | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | • Independent acquisition of scientific literature • Collection, analysis and presentation of information • Interactive online group discussion • Case analysis, description and presentation | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | • At least 50% attendance at lectures • Activity during interactive lessons and online discussions; • Accuracy and deadlines of individual works; • Exam: an individual written report (10 pages long) in which the student describes the solution to a health care problem using an innovative care organization approach of their choice. The evaluation of the examination report consists of (1) evaluation of the offer based on theoretical knowledge (30%); (2) assessment of the challenges analysis of case innovation solutions (30%); (3) evaluation of solution strategies (30%); (4) presentation of the report and compliance with the requirements of the academic work (10%). | ||||||||

Knowledge: | Upon successful completion of the module´s course the students will: • Demonstrate basic knowledge of the principles, concepts and areas of innovative healthcare organization • Will be familiar with specific innovative approaches to healthcare: patient-centered healthcare integrated healthcare, chronic disease management and personalized healthcare • Understand the basic conditions and prerequisites for implementing innovative organizational approaches • Recognize the importance of innovative solutions in the implementation of citizens' values and needs • Knows the implementation of innovative solutions in the context of change management approach | ||||||||
Skills: | The students will be able to: • Understand and be able to evaluate the usefulness and applicability of innovative approaches; • Analyze the benefits and challenges of different innovative approaches to care organization • Identify appropriate tools for implementing new concepts • Identify the appropriate organizational conditions and preconditions for the implementation of new concepts • Recognize health management issues and justify innovative solutions to problems • Apply a change management approach to the implementation of innovative organizational approaches • Analyze and evaluate the experience of other countries in implementing innovative solutions and adopting best practices | ||||||||
