On 16 and 17 November the Baltic Assocation of Neuropathologists is holding the 12th meeting of BAN/Baltic Association of Neuropathologists at RSU. Experts from Great Britain and Germany will share information about about the latest developments in their field.
16 November The Rīga Stradiņš University Lecture Hall No. 1 (16 Dzirciema iela) will be the venue for participants to have the opportunity to learn the latest on Central Nervous System (CNS) tumours as well as the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. Lectures will be held by Latvian-born Dr. Zane Jaunmuktāne, clinical lecturer and honorary consultant neuropathologist at the Department of Neuropathology, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London, UK as well as Professor Sebastian Brandner, Professor of Neuropathology, Department of Neuropathology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London, UK.
An interactive demonstration of clinical cases is scheduled at the event. It will be available for viewing before the event and also during the demonstration – on smart devices, by registering on the system.

17 November The BAN meeting will be held in the Department of Pathology at Rīga Stradiņš University (9a Kuldīgas iela, Room 205). During this meeting, the topics for discussion will be the latest developments in CNS tumours, diagnosis of neurodegenerative and muscular diseases. Lectures will be presented by Professor Hans Hilmar Goebel, doctor and neuropathologist from the Department of Neuropathology Charité, Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, as well as Dr. Zane Jaunmuktāne and Prof. Sebastian Brandner.
