On 18 May – International Museum Day – from 11:00 to 14:00 a campaign "Leave a legacy from your era in the museum!", will be held in the RSU lobby at 16 Dzirciema iela, during which we invite all RSU students, teaching staff and employees to donate to the university's museum collection items that are either work- or study-related, together with the story that goes with them. They will be added to the RSU museum collection and will provide an insight for future generations into the history of the university.
We – the students and employees of Rīga Stradiņš University – each have our daily obligations, challenges and achievements, studies or work, interwoven with our hobbies. What would we like to tell future generations about our daily activities? What will the symbols of our time be? What do we want others to remember about us and our time at the university?
This story is an example of what we are looking for!
Mobile phone Nokia
"This was my mobile phone when I came to work at Rīga Stradiņš University in 2010. At that time Nokia was one of the best mobile phone brands. I didn't know anything about touch screen models at the time. At that time it was more important to have a device that was small in size - the smaller, the better. This model is 10 x 4,5 cm. At the same time in my early days at RSU I also used a telephone with a land line. These days this model can rarely be found - in offices or at home. Who can still remember their last land line phone number?"
